Dell Inspiron i5765 (6382GRY, 6370GRY and 3649GRY) Review

We have seen 13 inch Dell Inspiron models and 15 inch Dell Inspiron models. In this general review, we are going to talk about 17.3 inch display Dell Inspiron models, Dell Inspiron i5765-6382GRY, Dell Inspiron i5767-6370GRY and Dell Inspiron i5767-3649GRY.

These three variants belong to Dell Inspiron 17 5000 series laptops. These are traditional laptops which are powered by 7th Gen Intel Core i7-7500U and 7th Gen AMD FX-9800P processors. Both the processors are latest at the time of writing this general review. These variants have same specifications with same design but are powered by different processors, have different RAM, storage and GPU.

Design of this model is very attractive and looks premium, similar to other Dell Inspiron laptops. These are slim design models, but due to large screen and other components, each model weighs more. Each variant weighs around 6.78 pounds and are about 1 inch thin (each). A comfortable keyboard with numeric keypad and large trackpad is a plus point for this big laptop.

These are large display models which feature 17.3-inch FHD (1920 x 1080) Anti-Glare LED-Backlit Display. Getting a Full HD display for a laptop priced above $500 and below $1000 is acceptable at the time of this review. Even most of the laptops in this price range featured Full HD display's. So, you are getting the best display in big size. Watching movies will be more enjoyable on these variants.

HD Webcam with an integrated microphone can be used for better video calls and for voice conversations without the need of any microphone attached to computer. Sound processing is done by Waves MaxxAudio technology and outputs the best audio from the two stereo speakers of these models.

Good connectivity options which are required for everyday users. You have USB 3.0 ports, USB 2.0 ports, DVD Drive, SD card reader, LAN port, HDMI port and other connectivity options. You can enjoy fast internet connectivity with 802.11 ac WiFi. Overall, connectivity options are good for everyday users.

Now coming to the main part i.e., performance. As we said earlier, all specs of these three models are same except their processor, RAM, storage and GPU. These variants are high end-models, so they all are suitable for medium to heavy usage. Lets talk about them individually.

Dell Inspiron i5765-6382GRY (7th Gen AMD FX-9800P, 16 GB RAM, 2 TB HDD):

This variant is powered by 7th generation AMD FX-9800P Quad-Core processor and comes with 16 GB DDR4-2400 RAM, 2 TB @ 5400 RPM HDD and Radeon R8 M445DX Dual Graphics.

AMD FX-9800P is powerful AMD processor which was released in mid-2016. With this processor you can do light multi-tasking and run demanding applications without any issues. It performs better than same-time released 7th Gen Intel Core i5-6200U processor which we have seen in few Dell Inspiron convertible like Dell i5578. So, for the price, this processor is perfect.

16 GB DDR4-2400 RAM with Radeon R8 M445DX Dual Graphics is good for playing games. You can play games released till 2014 without any issues and you can also play few 2015 games in low to medium settings, but you can't play high-graphic games. Other than gaming, that RAM and GPU will work for your creative works like designing, drawings etc.

Storage is massive. 2 TB of storage is very rare specification to find in laptops at the time of writing this review. You are getting 2 TB storage which is more for a normal user. Overall, this powerful laptop is suitable for all people who want a big screen laptop for everyday computing.

If you want Intel processor with same RAM and storage, you can see below listed Dell Inspiron i5767-6370GRY model.

Dell Inspiron i5767-6370GRY (Intel Core i7-7500U, 16 GB RAM, 2 TB HDD):

This Dell i5767 model is powered by 7th Generation Intel Core i7-7500U processor and comes with 16 GB DDR4-2400 RAM, 2 TB HDD @ 5400 RPM and Intel HD Graphics 620 GPU.

This laptop is powered by Intel Core i7 processor whereas above model is powered by AMD FX-9800P processor. And comparing their powers, Intel Core i7 processor outputs more perfromance than AMD FX-9800P processor.

So, you will have more power to do multi-tasking and running demanding applications. You can edit videos, edit photos, do other computing work which requires powerful processor and more RAM. You are getting massive storage of 2 TB, so no need to worry about the shortage of storage.

Overall, this is a powerful everyday laptop for all your entertainment and heavy computing.

Dell Inspiron i5767-3649GRY (Intel Core i7-7500U, 8 GB RAM, 1 TB HDD):

Powered by 7th Generation Intel Core i7-7500U processor, this model is similar to above listed laptop but differs in RAM and storage. Here, you will get 8 GB DDR4-2400 RAM and 1 TB HDD @ 5400 RPM. GPU for this processor is always Intel HD Graphics 620.

So, if you think 16 GB RAM and 2 TB storage are more for you, you can go for this laptop. You can do multi-tasking and run demanding applications without any issues. High-graphic games are not playable buy low graphic games can be playable without any issues.

So, if you want a big screen laptop for everyday tasks, editing videos and doing your office work, this laptop is for you.
